ADVENTURE GETS A NEW NAME,
There’s great news in the adventure bike world for 2025. We’ve taken one of our best adventure bikes–the CB500X–and given it a major update along with a new name: the NX500. It’s seven pounds lighter, and along with a new ECU, that means you get better acceleration feel. Lighter wheels and new suspension settings make it feel more responsive. A brand-new LED headlight improves visibility at night. Honda Selectable Torque Control is new and standard equipment. A new Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) instrument display is easier to read, and a new fairing is part of an aggressive new styling package.
DOHC TWIN-CYLINDER ENGINE
Offering plenty of power and torque in the midrange, the NX500 features a 471cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. Light, narrow, and powerful, it just strikes the perfect balance of what a mid-sized motorcycle engine should be.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKES
ABS comes standard on the NX500, helping you make smoother, more controlled stops under less-than-ideal riding conditions.
UPSIDE-DOWN FORK
The NX500 features an inverted-fork design that makes the front end much more rigid, for more precise steering input and feedback. The fork itself is a Showa Separate Function Fork–Big Piston (SFF-BP) design–one of the best in its class.
DISC BRAKES
The NX500 features large twin front disc brakes so you get strong, predictable stopping power. The front-brake lever is also adjustable for a perfect fit
